Tikaani ' The hunter of the tundra' by LisaToms Tikaani ' The hunter of the tundra' by LisaToms
I'm very glad to present you Tikaani, my first posable doll!

He is made of super sculpey, faux fur and he has a wire armature inside that makes him fully posable.
I also wanted to make him more realistic, so I furred the sculpted parts by hand.

His accessories are removeable, and his necklace glows in the dark.

He took me over 100 hours.
He is the most complex doll I've made so far :D

Tikaani is a ooak doll completely handmade by me.

LOVE how you added fur to the sculpted parts, I am working on a posable crystal wolf companion atm and still trying to figure out how to fur sculpted parts.  There are hardly any usable tutorials around on how to do this, any possibility you could give me a little advice?

Beautiful work by the way, this is one of the dolls that made me want to try my hand at it.  Just worked up the courage to say so now lol.

is he jointed or wired, I notice his head moves around. I have made half sculpted plushies and was having issues getting the joints on the neck so they all ended up having either wired or stiff heads, just curious ifanyone else had luck with jointing them.

It's wired :)
I've never tried jointning them

Ah thanks! Yeah the lion took me over 5 month of work, i had so much fun creating him. But now i enjoy doing some smaller animals :D
I would love to see your finished squirrel, i am very curious about how it look like! I still need to figure out how to create posable animals but i'm glad you like my Dalio :)

I am looking forward seeing more from you :meow:

you're very welcome too ^^

Wow 5 month! I think I won't have that patience when I make my lifesized plush xD I'm going to choose a smaller animal :D
Hmm I think for now I'm not going to finish my squirrel ( I'm making two projects to have more casted in resin dolls) so it have to wait for now
For poseable animals, most of people use a simple wire structure inside of them, and then sew the fur body as a normal doll. I'm sure your poseable dolls will be so beautiful ^.^

( sorry for the late reply, but I hadn't noticed yours ^^;)

I want to learn how to use resin somewhen next year. This would be really helpful for me..
Now i learned how to make some good working posable dolls. If you like you can leave a comment or feedback to my work :) Watch my gallery or see here [link] (<- there you find my few posable dolls)

By the way, i love the skunk you created. Its so cute :) Great job!

Well, this summer I'm going to make new molded dolls ( casted in resin I mean) and I'll make wolves and maybe more canines, and they will be more affordable that an OOAK hand-sculpted one, so maybe you would be interested.
In why kind of canine are you thinking?
